I’m so excited to share the lovely summer wedding of Kelly and Andrew! They chose Durham because it was where they first met. In fact, they met their very first day of undergrad when they moved into the same dorm at Duke. After 8 years of dating and a big move to South Korea quickly approaching, they snagged an open spot at the chapel and booked the Cookery for the reception.
Both Kelly and Andrew wanted to show off a little Southern hospitality to their guests. Their specialty drinks were a Southern Gentleman and a Blueberry Fizz. For food Donovan’s Dish help create a custom menu which included Southern appetizers of fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, mini chicken and waffles, and Bourbon meatballs.
Since Kelly LOVES dessert she chose assorted cakes made by the wonderful Details Cake Design. Flavors included coconut cake, German chocolate, Hummingbird cake, and even a little key lime pie!
