It’s so exciting when a bride and groom really want to create a unique wedding that is a reflection of own their personalities and styles. And that was certainly the case with Jasmine and Joel’s summer wedding!
Jasmine and Joel knew they wanted a day filled with colorful and fun details. From the ombre hair flowers to the feather bowties, nothing was overlooked! The day started out a bit rainy but, they were able to pull off their intimate ceremony at Duke Gardens with Jasmine’s brother acting as the officiant. And rather than a traditional trio, Jasmine opted for a Spanish guitar which reminded her of her studies abroad. After the ceremony Jasmine and Joel arrived to the Rickhouse where the big party started! Guests feasted on New Orlean’s dishes in honor of Joel’s heritage. From the shrimp and grits to the gumbo, Donovan’s Dish did an incredible job! After dinner guests danced the night away. But, once the music stopped, Jasmine and Joel had one more surprise! The Boom Unit Brass Band entered the room and lead guests in a second line all the way outside to the getaway car!
I hope you enjoy these images from the fabulous Carolyn Scott Photography and get inspired for your own wedding day!
