Tara & Greg- Tiffany Blue Duke Gardens Wedding

Tara and Greg were married this past July at Duke Gardens. The start of their love story is by chance. On her way to a meeting Tara stopped by a Qdoba in a Philly suburb to grab a quick bite. When she sat down Greg was at the next table having dinner with his adorable son, Nigel. Greg struck up a conversation, they exchanged numbers, and the rest is history!

Tara, a Duke grad, always loved Durham so she thought it was the perfect place to host both families for an intimate wedding weekend. The evening ceremony was performed by Tara’s cousin, a minister from South Carolina, and involved a special sand ceremony to represent the blending of the family.

For decor the couple chose a pallette of Tiffany blue and silver with just a little sparkle and bling. But, don’t let the sophisticated decor fool you because this wedding was all about fun! The Catering Company of Chapel Hill provided appetizers of mini corn muffins with pulled pork and bbq drizzle, mini burger and fried chicken sliders, and potato and cheese perogi with sour cream and chive dip. During cocktail hour guests also enjoyed a photo booth and a guest book with fun questions such as: Where do you see the couple in 5 years? What should they do for their first anniversary? What should they teach Nigel about love? After cocktail hour guests moved inside and enjoyed a family style dinner followed by an ice cream sundae station. Yum!!!! After dinner there was more photo booth time and Mark Toney of Joe Bunn DJ Company kept everyone on the floor dancing until the sparkler send off.
