Brittany and Megan’s wedding was all about fun and laughter! The day started with sixteen women taking over 140 Salon for a morning full of pampering. The girls had a great time and then loaded The Bridge Bus for photos downtown. Brittany and Megan decided to break all traditions about seeing each other on the wedding day. Not only did they see each other at the salon, they skipped the first look! They decided they would rather spend the day with each other having fun instead of being forced apart over tradition.
After taking some gorgeous photos downtown with the Durham skyline it was time for the ceremony and reception at The Cookery. During the ceremony the flower girl refused to walk (typical for a 4 year old). But, suddenly she realized what was happening and ran down the aisle yelling, “It started! It started!” Everyone laughed and it set the tone for the sweet ceremony.
Guests moved inside for the reception where the room was decorated in shades of silver, purple, and gold with accents of greenery and floating candles. It was so romantic! At each place setting guests were treated to some classic NYC black and white cookies in custom bags. For dinner guests enjoyed a Southern feast by Donovan’s Dish and then it was time to party and dance until the glow stick send off!
I hope you enjoy these images and get inspired for you own wedding day!
