Romantic, eclectic, and stunning are just a few words to describe Ali and Bryan’s Carolina Inn wedding. Ali knew she wanted to marry in her home town of Chapel Hill and when she inquired about available dates at the Inn, Halloween was the only option. But, rather than shy away from the day she was excited to incorporate fall elements with fun Halloween twists to entertain her guests.
The ceremony took place outside in the Anne Hill Courtyard. Ali was conscious of the fact that her ring bearers and flower girl would miss traditional trick-or-treating so she she dressed them as characters from the Wizard of Oz and let them trick-or-treat down the aisle. When guests saw Glenda the Good Witch, the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man it was a show stopper! The ceremony was performed by Bryan’s childhood friend and incorporated Jewish elements to honor Ali’s heritage. But, to honor Bryan’s Irish side, Ali had a custom Kippah designed with a shamrock!
After the ceremony guests moved inside where they enjoyed dinner in the beautiful ballroom that incorporated romantic and flowing centerpieces from Tre Bella combined with Ali’s personal touches. She had DIY table numbers made from small framed artwork, vintage dessert platters, and even an antique globe as the guest book. After dinner guests enjoyed the fabulous entertainment of Attraction and danced the night away with some fun Halloween props and costumes!
