Holly and Magnus were married on a perfect North Carolina summer day. Both the ceremony and reception took place at the lovely Duke Gardens. Holly had a definite vision in mind for the design. She wanted a contemporary and modern vibe using hot pink, indigo, and silver accents.
Watered Garden Florist created a modern floral design and threw in a one of a kind touch by using mirrors as runners on the dinner tables. The Chinese lanterns and market lights provided by Get Lit Special Event Lighting added in a fun and whimsical touch to the design. Of course, I’m all about personal details and my favorite was the contemporary cake stand. It was built by Holly’s uncle and modeled after a Swedish candelabra the couple has in their home. Also in honor of Magnus’ Swedish heritage each guest received a custom shot glass which was filled with Akvavit for the best man’s toast.
